Ventus gave Aqua an apologetic look and set off back through the castle to the Gates. Aqua called him back but he didn't listen. He couldn't go home yet. He hadn't found Terra! And he needed to find him before it was too late. Maleficent was convinced Terra had stolen Aurora's heart and she had known about him and the powers of the Keyblade. He wondered about how she'd known but eventually pushed it to the back of his mind. Terra was more important.
It was then he remembered the Masked Boy and how, before they'd all left home, he'd implied Terra was changing too. Like right now? He's leaving you behind. And by the time you catch up... he'll be a different person. Was it really true? Could Terra really be turning to into someone different? He didn't want to believe it. No. Aqua was right. Terra wouldn't do that. And he knew it. But he had to be sure. He had to find out the truth and to do that, he had to find Terra.
He continued to run out of the castle, shoulder hunched and arms swinging, dispatching the few Unversed he met on the way with ease. All he wanted to do was get into the open to leave this world and they were getting in his way. The look on his face said it all, both worried and determined while panting and muttering to himself.
